“Empowering young athletes to reach their full potential is the most rewarding aspect of coaching.”
In 2023, Jennifer Nardi joined Poly’s Athletics Department as head coach of the Varsity Girls’ Lacrosse team and Physical Education teacher. Originally hailing from Queens, Nardi earned her degree in hospitality and tourism management from UMass, later achieving a master’s in sports management from Southern New Hampshire University in 2013. She is working toward completing her MBA at University of Hartford.
A seasoned lacrosse coach, prior to Poly, Nardi made a significant impact on the University of Hartford Hawks, guiding them to break 11 single-season records, resulting in the most successful season in the program’s history. Prior to this, she spent three seasons as the head coach at Manhattanville College, where she led the Valiants to a school-record 258 goals in a standout 2018 season.
With a rich Division I background, including stints at esteemed institutions like UC Berkeley, UMass, and UVM, Nardi brings a wealth of experience to her role at Poly. A former standout goalie at UMass, she graduated as the program’s all-time leader in saves, culminating in an IWLCA All-Northeast Region First Team selection in 2000.
Nardi’s coaching acumen extends beyond college lacrosse, having overseen the Brooklyn Crescents Lacrosse program, catering to hundreds of youth athletes.
